The purpose of this workshop was to begin addressing the recommendations of the National Research Council's report, "Looking Back, Moving Forward", for the Education & Outreach (E/O) Community. The group collectively produced one logic model for each of the 6 E/O concentration areas. Creating a logic model ensures that for each activity, there are measurable outcomes that align with the NSF's broader impacts, specifically with regard to increasing diversity. The logic model visually represents these connections. The work was facilitated by professional evaluators who recognize this as an essential first step in developing a collaborative evaluation plan. The cross-center logic models will be posted on mrsec.org and on Cornell University's "Netway."
