Students who are engaged in the North Carolina Central University (NCCU) PREM program have the opportunity to experience collaborative research with faculty and graduate students within the Center for Nanoscale Science and the broader Penn State materials community. In addition to a summer research experience at Penn State (in coordination with the REU program described above) and potential involvement in collaborative research activities between faculty at both institutions year-round, NCCU PREM undergraduates and master students participate in Penn State hosted tutoring/mentoring programs with PSU MRSEC graduate students during the academic year.
