The MRSEC Educator Directors Meeting will be held on November 30, 2009 and will be hosted by the Center for Materials Science and Engineering at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) (77 Massachusetts Ave., see map). We will be meeting in Room 10-105 (The Bush Room). It is located along the main corridor, accessed from the main entrance to campus We have attached the final agenda. Our hosts at MIT will be generously providing refreshments and lunch.

This is actually NOT in the Bush Building. The most direct way to get to the meeting is to take a cab or bus to the main entrance of MIT at 77 Massachusetts Avenue. It is identifiable by the dome over the building and the Ionic columns at the top of the stairway. Once inside the building, you will see a long hallway directly in front of you (known as the “Infinite Corridor”). Follow the hallway about halfway. When you reach a lobby with doors on your right looking out on a courtyard to the river, go to your LEFT, toward the elevators. Immediately on your left is the entrance to Room 10-105. There will be a sign in the hallway marking the turn.
For those of you coming to campus from hotels in Boston, the best option is to share cabs. Alternatively, you can take the #1 or CT1 bus from the entrance to the Hynes subway stop, which is located on Massachusetts Avenue (between Boyston and Newbury Streets).”
Many of you may be attending the MRS Fall meeting. For those of you who are not attending MRS, the two closest hotels to MIT are the Boston Marriott Cambridge and LeMeridien Cambridge. Both are adjacent to campus. The Marriott is located at the Kendall/MIT subway stop. We recommend making your reservation as soon as possible to secure a room at the best possible rate.
