The LRSM hosts students each summer to participate in a ten-week, hands-on research experience in materials research. Each will work under the supervision of a faculty member on a current materials research project in chemistry, physics, biochemistry, biophysics, materials science or engineering. The program runs from late May to early August every year and takes applications from well qualified undergraduates. We encourage applications from underrepresented groups in science and engineering, including women, underrepresented minorities, and students with disabilities. The deadline to submit applications for consideration is February 1. Note: The program is restricted to US citizens and permanent residents.
