NanoRING program

In this wonderful setting in Munich, you will enjoy a 10-week intensive program providing research experience in materials nanotechnology, on-site orientation with survivial German, and cohort visits to science & technology workshops and cultural & social outings. The aim of NanoRING is to provide students the experience and international connectivity required to develop them into future leaders of the international scientific and engineering community. This program takes a mentorship approach that allows participating students to create for themselves a meaningful research experience under the mentorship of the host faculty researcher and laboratory members. The program is enhanced by immersion in Germany, but in a laboratory working environment where English is the lingua franca requiring no prior language training for U.S. students. The ultimate goal is for participating students to finish the program having contributed to the progress of important research and having gained knowledge and appreciation of the German scientific culture, and confidence working in an international setting.
