John Forbes Nash Jr. (June 13, 1928 - May 23, 2015) was an American mathematician who made fundamental contributions to game theory, differential geometry, and the study of partial differential equations. Heinrich Matthaei (1929- ) was a postdoctoral fellow at NIH in 1960 and 1961 and worked with Marshall Nirenberg on the fateful experiments to crack the genetic code.
