Our enhanced Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) program recruits faculty-student teams from four-year colleges and universities, each consisting of a professor and 1-2 students, to join Nebraska MRSEC research groups for the summer. Our MRSEC conducts state-of-the-art interdisciplinary experimental and theoretical research on Polarization and Spin Phenomena in Nanoferroic Structures, with the following research thrusts:
• Functional magnetoelectric materials and interfaces
• Molecular-level magnetoelectrics
• Polarization-enabled functional materials and properties
• Low-dimensional molecular ferroelectrics
It is anticipated that collaboration between Nebraska MRSEC and the team's home institution will continue during the following academic year.
