IRG II: Spin Polarization and Transmission at Nanocontacts and Interfaces @ University of Nebraska
Research Fields: | Magnetics / Ferroelectrics / Spintronics |
Understanding and utilizing spin polarization and transport through nanoscale ordered and disordered interfaces are major goals for future spintronic technologies. We are using original synthetic methods to make nanoscale magnetic materials, for which enhanced spin-transport properties are expected. New ferromagnet/insulator interfaces will be synthesized. In particular, junctions using organic ferroelectric barriers are investigated, as well as ferroelectric/organic ferromagnetic systems.
