The seven shared experimental facilities occupy over 20,000 ft2 of space and are run by expert facility managers who are available for consultation and training.
Our facilities include:
• Hudson Mesoscale Processing Facility

• Materials Facilities
• Polymer Characterization Facility
• Surface Facility
• X-Ray Diffraction Facility
• Research Computing Facilities
Each year, the facilities accommodate approximately 500 users. In the last year, facility users came from 13 other academic institutions and 25 companies as well as 37 Cornell departments. We foster the technical expertise necessary to operate sophisticated experimental equipment effectively and to make important scientific, technical, instrumentation or process advancements.
All CCMR facilities charge user fees in accordance with Cornell, NSF and OMB regulations. Potential users are encouraged to contact the appropriate facility manager , the Director of Shared Experimental Facilities or the Director of Industrial Partnerships.
The CCMR facilities are run by expert staff who provide training and technical assistance. We welcome outside users from both industry and academia. Potential users are encouraged to contact us by e-mail or visit the facility on the web.
