Northwestern University K-12
The Northwestern University Materials Research Science & Engineering Center collaborates with several schools and educational institutions to bring the joy of science to students in Kindergarten through the end of high school. The Center coordinates two after-school science clubs at local middle schools Chute Middle School and Nichols Middle School in Evanston, Illinois. The Center collaborates with the Northwestern Chemistry department to bring elementary school students to the university campus for a set of science demonstrations. We also work with the Northwestern University Center for Talent Development to offer a 3-week summer course on Materials Science to promising high school students.
